The quiz and calculator
Your answers stay in your browser. They live in the page's memory and in session storage for the current tab, and they're cleared when you close it. We never put your answers in the page address.
If you share a link to a result, it carries only appliance types and sizes, outage length, solar, budget band and home type. It never includes medical devices, names you typed for custom items, or your email address.
WattLark doesn't collect email addresses right now. If we add a newsletter or emailed results, this section will say exactly what we collect and why before any form goes live.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see which pages are read and which tools are used. Analytics events never include medical answers, custom item names or email addresses. They can include step numbers, whether a quiz was finished, and non-sensitive choices like outage length or budget band.
Affiliate links
When you click a retailer link, that retailer may set its own cookies to credit us with the sale. See the affiliate disclosure.
